Playmobil goes back in time with new History sets portraying Greek gods!

The first ancient Playmobil Greek gods were released at the end of 2016. These are exclusive to the Greek market, even though they are produced in Malta. Some 100 million of the little plastic figures have been produced here on the 'Island of the Knights' every year since 1974, when Playmobil Malta Ltd was founded, and the total number has now surpassed 3 billion. The production line of the biggest factory outside Germany (which employs around 1,000 workers) and produces around 32 plastic figures every 10 seconds.
In June 2018, after the studies and the valuable contributions of archaeologists and pedagogues, the design phase of the first collection of the twelve gods of Olympus was completed. The creation of collector figures required long-term research and preparation so that the result was as representative as possible, according to historical data.
